Maintaining your privacy is a high priority at Crafty Business. We will not share or sell your customer information. We use the personal information that you provide to process your orders, communicate with you, and when you subscribe, to send you newsletters or notices of special events. We provide safe and secure processing for your on-line orders. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security to encrypt information transmitted across the Internet during the processing of your orders.
At Crafty Business we are very concerned with providing beautiful products which are also safe. The California Legislature enacted the Lead-Containing Jewelry Law to limit the amount of lead in jewelry after high amounts of lead, a toxic metal, had been found in jewelry, especially inexpensive children’s jewelry. Other states have passed similar legislation.
Children who are six years old or younger have been determined to be the most at risk because their bodies grow so quickly. Also, as we all know, children often put things in their mouths. If the item has a high level of lead and it is placed in the mouth, the health risk can be serious.
At Crafty Business, we sell many beautiful Swarovski products. There is indeed lead content in Swarovski crystals (it helps create the sparkle we so love about crystals!). The California Department of Toxic Substances Control has specifically addressed the question of Swarovski crystal and other leaded crystal components in jewelry and has stated that Swarovski crystal and other leaded crystal components may be used in adult jewelry.
In California, for jewelry intended for and used by children, the use of crystal or glass decorative components in children’s jewelry is also allowed but limited to a total of 1 gram (a very small amount). Other jurisdictions may vary.
As responsible consumers, we urge you to use all jewelry components you purchase from Crafty Business or other businesses in a responsible manner compliant with the laws and regulations applicable where you live and/or do business. Be sure to keep all small, easily-swallowed and dangerous items, including beads and jewelry, well out of the reach of all small children.
We carefully review each order received. Shipping costs are based on the chosen carrier, and the approximate size and weight of your order. You can see the calculation of your shipping costs during the checkout process found within the shopping cart.
We ship via the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service or Federal Express. We do not accept C.O.D. orders and may provide insurance for larger orders at our cost. You will be notified by email of shipping and/or backorders. Please be aware that some orders may take longer due to volumes being experienced by Crafty Business or shipping carriers due to special promotions or holidays.
Please note that in most cases, shipping by United States Postal Service first class mail will provide you with the most economical shipping.
In order to help prevent fraud, shipment must be made to the credit card billing address if this is your first order with Crafty Business. Orders processed after that initial order may be shipped to a different address. If your billing address is a P.O. box, please list your P.O. Box - however be aware that United Parcel Service does not ship to P.O. boxes. Your physical ship-to address can be added at the time of check out. C.O.D. orders are not accepted.
Most orders are processed and shipped within one day of receipt by Crafty Business; however, we only place shipments on Monday through Friday, excluding holidays
For International orders, USPS First Class International Mail will be the normal carrier. International customers are responsible for all import, tariff and customs fees associated with their own country. .
Please be sure your Pay Pal address is correct to ensure that your purchase is delivered to the correct address. .
Promotional/Coupon Codes
Only one promotional code or coupon may be redeemed per transaction. Please be careful to check the expiration date for all promotional or coupon codes to ensure successful processing.
Payment must be made at the time of your order. We accept payment from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Card. We do not accept checks or money orders.
Cancellations of orders placed with Crafty Business will only be accepted until the order has been packed for shipment.
Returns are accepted if an item was incorrectly shipped to you or if the item is defective, providing that you return the item to Crafty Business within 30 days of the date of shipment. Once your return is received in its original condition and packaging, we will be happy to send an in-kind replacement or to apply a refund to the credit card that was used for the original purchase.
All returns require prior authorization which can be easily obtained by calling (916) 208-0835. Be sure to include the following information with your return:
A copy of the original invoice noted with the quantity being returned
by item;
The authorization number you verbally receive from Crafty Business
Your return should be packaged in similar materials as it was shipped to protect it during the return trip. Send your return, with the above information, to:

Remember, we cannot credit your return to your credit card without the return authorization number. Also, since credit card companies process credits differently, it may take one or two billing cycles for a refund to appear on your account.
We cannot accept returns on cut stringing materials or chain. Shipping charges will not be credited unless the return is necessary due to our error and has specifically been authorized at the time you request your return authorization number.
